Soft waves of the ocean glide over sand like silk. The evenings glow makes silk so much softer. And yet, it makes the sand softer as well, so who is to tell the difference? Let me tell you about the sky. When it gets this close to bedtime the sun just doesnt care anymore. Look straight into it. Its so soft right now, it wont blind you. You can stay here all day and it wont set. I always wondered what the sun thought of that. It never gets to go to bed, you see. Sorry, Im getting off topic.
Let me tell you about the ocean. The ocean is warm, and calm. Go on, swim in it. Swim as far as you want. You can swim for miles and you wont get any farther away from the beach. Youll see the same fish swim by every few minutes. And the same waves, too. Theres plenty of sea shells buried in the sand if you want to dig them up, but you just get the same ones. You should take a look at those rocks as well. You notice how they are all shaped the exact same? And the sand, every grain is identical. See a pattern yet? I have to admit, its really only good for looking at. But you have to admit that it is quite a beautiful scene.
But you cant stay here forever. I have something more important to show you. The walls are white, and they curve to meet the ceiling right? There is a curved white pillar in the middle, too. Right in front of the white bed, with the white sheets. And the floor is a white tile. Now you are beginning to see it. Except that there isnt a wall on the left. There is an open balcony off of the room. There, now you see it. I almost forgot to mention the painting on the balcony. Go look at it. Does it look familiar? I bet you never would have guessed you were inside of a painting. The water felt so real, didnt it? Now look down, over the edge of the balcony. There is a beach down there, with white stairs, leading from the white balcony to the soft beach, along the sloped side of the white building. That is indeed the same water you swam in. You seem surprised. Well, you see, the painting was painted on this balcony. The balcony is also part of the picture. You actually havent left the painting at all. Here, let me demonstrate. Pick up the painting, and walk down to the beach. Do you see what has changed about the painting? Look closely. There is a figure on the beach, holding a painting. That figure is you.
